2. No cookies, no tracking
This website neither stores information on your device nor reads any from it: no cookies or similar technologies such as local storage, tracking pixels or fingerprinting are used. There are no analytics services, no advertising services and no embedded third-party content such as videos, maps or social media buttons. Fonts and images are hosted on our own web space. For this reason, no cookie notice and no consent are required.
Links to other websites, for example to INCITE or LinkedIn, are only accessed when you click them. From that point on, the privacy policy of the respective provider applies.
3. Hosting and server log files
The website is hosted by World4You Internet Services GmbH, Linz, Austria. Each time the site is accessed, the server automatically processes technical access data:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- page or file requested and amount of data transferred
- previously visited page (referrer), if transmitted
- browser and operating system
The purpose is the secure and stable operation of the website, for example to fend off attacks and to troubleshoot errors. The legal basis is legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. The data are not combined with other data; I do not use them to analyse user behaviour. The hosting provider stores the log files for two weeks and then deletes them automatically.
A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the hosting provider.
4. Contact form and email
If you use the contact form or send an email, I process the details you provide – type of enquiry, name, company or authority, email address and message – in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where a possible project or contract is concerned, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries).
The details are transmitted by email and processed via the hosting provider’s email service; its mail log files are likewise deleted automatically after two weeks. They are not passed on to third parties. I delete them once the enquiry has been dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations require longer storage, for example for business correspondence.
5. Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 15–21 GDPR). To exercise these rights, write to office@dy-carnica.com.
If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data protection law, you can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Austria this is the Data Protection Authority (Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna, dsb.gv.at.
6. Security
The website is delivered in encrypted form via HTTPS. Complete confidentiality cannot be guaranteed for transmission by email; for confidential documents, we are happy to agree on a different channel.
